Project Name change to plettac electronics
Objective To communicate name change and maximize visitor attendance at major trade show.
Brief A division of Grundig, a well known German brand, were changing their name in a highly competitive and brand-aware market.

The client wanted to signal the name change ahead of a major trade exhibition and ensure at least the same number of visitors attended the stand as had done in previous years.
Duration 6 weeks

Result Instant recognition of the new name amongst target visitors and vastly improved attendance at the stand.

The following invitation was sent by direct mail to the target visitors...

plettac invite

A quantity of the gambling chips called 'plettacs' were sent with each mailing. The casino-standard chips were double sided with the old and new company name.

Visitors to the stand could use the chips for a roulette game managed by a professional croupier.

The theme was continued with a leaflet for a specific type of digital picture system using the casino theme.
