‘A NEW BODY’ SHAPES UP FOR NEW BUSINESS

HEALTH AND FITNESS EQUIPMENT SHOWROOM RE-OPENS – FITTEST PERSON IN LEAMINGTON COMPETITION AND GUEST APPEARANCE BY WORLD STRENGTH AND FITNESS SENSATION, PADDY DOYLE

Leamington fitness equipment specialists, A New Body, are set to beef up business from their fully refurbished Bedford Street showroom which re-opens this weekend.

A full programme of fun and fitness activities commencing at 10.00 am on Saturday will include a competition to find the Fittest Man and Woman in Leamington.

Holder of 120 regional, national and world fitness and endurance records, Paddy Doyle, of Balsall Common, will make a guest appearance to perform fitness demonstrations and sign copies of the Guiness Book of World Records, in which he is currently featured.

The fitness competition is open to individuals or club representatives and will consist of a timed 800 metre run on a treadmill. Entries can be registered at the store or made by telephone at 01926-337000.

Jasper Beauclair, Managing Director of A New Body, is looking forward to a day which celebrates the benefits of fitness particularly at a time of year when many people are trying to get rid of ‘festive season flab’.

“Interest in improving personal fitness and well-being has never been as high. We’ve been overwhelmed by the demand for high-quality fitness equipment across a broad spectrum of corporate and private users.

“A key factor behind this is that people – often both partners - are working long hours and need to free up as much time as possible for their families.

“Time-consuming trips to and from health clubs put pressure on already crowded schedules and are in themselves fatiguing. Our clients are looking for the flexibility and convenience of home fitness – to the extent that home gymnasiums are seriously considered as home improvements along with new kitchens and bathrooms. We are seeing more and more garages and lofts being converted to make way for home fitness rooms,” he said.

Jasper said that the people across all age groups are becoming more image conscious, and are looking for the health and appearance benefits of regular exercise. “There can also be direct benefits in terms of more favourable personal health insurance rates as risk is reduced through fitness.”

A New Body, which has been in Leamington since 1995 and operated from Bedford Street for four years, has partnered with Ian Parker, owner of ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ in Leamington, to provide professional personal training and tuition along with newly installed equipment. “Between us, we are able to provide comprehensive, professional cover for the corporate and personal fitness markets.”

A New Body also has a showroom in Birmingham and detailed information on their extensive range of equipment can be found at their website at www.anewbody.co.uk.
