Cox’s
Dental Healthcare in Southam celebrated National Smile Week on Tuesday
13th May, sharing the benefits of modern dentistry with their visitors.
You
only have one chance to make a first impression, and the quality of
your smile could be far more important than you imagined in the way
you are perceived by others, both socially and in the workplace.
This
is the friendly advice of Lis Cox, partner in Cox’s Dental Healthcare
in Southam which haosted an Open Day on Tuesday 13th to mark National
Smile Week .
“You
may have a lovely face, or any number of other positive physical attributes,
but it can all be spoiled by an unsightly row of uneven, discoloured
or missing teeth. It could affect your chances of getting the job that
you want, the promotion you think you deserve or prevent relationships
which may be important to you, from being all they could be,”
she says.
Lis
and her husband, Steve, have been partners in Cox’s Dental Healthcare
for over twenty years and have seen ‘just about all there is to
see’ of dental neglect.
“So
many people put off dental care for as long as they absolutely can.
Eventually, discomfort or unacceptable appearances will cause them to
come and see us. It’s such a pity that so few appreciate that
with just a little prevention, they could enjoy the life-long benefits
of healthy teeth and gums.”
This
is the message that Lis and Steve shared with a number of visitors to
their friendly and cheerful Healthcare premises on their Open Day as
they encouraged both the young and the not-so-young to make ‘a
worthwhile investment in their smile and in their futures’ through
good dental care.
