LEAMINGTON FITNESS STORE SUPPLIES ‘TOMB RAIDER’ STAR
Angelina
Jolie fit for ‘Raider’ sequel thanks to Life Fitness equipment
from A New Body in Leamington Spa.
The
equipment was supplied to Paramount pictures studios in Buckinghamshire,
where a number of special effect sequences were created for ‘Tomb
Raider II – The Cradle of Life’ – which opens at the
Apollo theatre in Leamington in August.
Owner
of A New Body in Oxford Street, Jasper Beauclair, said that the star’s
personal trainer had requested that A New Body supply items of the high-tech
‘Life Fitness’ range of equipment to the studios.
“We
were of course only too happy to oblige and supplied a state-of-the-art
treadmill, a specialised bench press system, a rowing machine and a
set of dumbbells which included the hefty 22.5kg (50 pound) weights.
Jolie,
who plays the role of action hero Lara Croft of computer gaming fame,
wears her signature body-hugging silver suit in Cradle of Life and needs
to look fit – and be fit – for the many demanding action
sequences.
“Being
able to supply a star such as Jolie, in a film which is likely to the
box office hit of the summer, is an endorsement of the quality of the
equipment and service we are able to supply. This is the same equipment
and expertise which is available to home gym and fitness enthusiasts
in Leamington and elsewhere in he country,” said Jasper.
Last
year, A New Body supplied fitness equipment to the ITV Big Brother house
and has provided Warwickshire-based Ladies world darts champion, Trina
Gulliver, with fitness equipment and training advice.
“As
more people take an interest in personal fitness, they are becoming
more discerning about the type of equipment they use. An affordable

The
